As I sit here pool side at our hotel reading and working. I glance up periodically to ensure the kids are okay. Yes, I am THAT mom. Always watching and worrying!
I glance up to see a most humbling sight. My boys are sitting in the hot tub with a couple of older boys. I notice my son looking at these boys intently, which means whatever they are saying he is being sure to capture every word. He loves sports and he has a drive to be better and better at anything he does.
He is listening intently so I know he is learning. Iām humbled that these older boys are taking the time to answer questions and offer suggestions to these young eager boys. They realize the value of their words (or at least I hope they do) and the lasting impact it will have.
In this world we live in today, we are so rushed and forget to slow down and realize just who is watching.
Thank you to those two young men for taking time out of your day to spend with these boys. I know your moms would be proud! š
